Asset Management Firms in DFW area?
I'm a senior trying to get into the AM industry and understand my chances of getting into a (Fidelity, T Rowe, Wellington, etc.) are unlikely given the timing of applications, lack of direct experience as well as coming from a non-target. I have a 4.0 GPA, take CFA level 1 in August and want to become a PM one day.
Are there any firms that 2nd, 3rd, 4th tier that anyone recommends reaching out to that are in the Dallas area? Knowledge is my main focus, so I really just want to learn as much as I can.

It’s not that EZ. All firms are competitive bc they don’t have training programs. Small firms are probably LESS willing to train you unless you’re some genius or something. Buyside traditional path is sell side first BECAUSE you need training.
