Chicago Dress Codes

About to start at a PE Firm in Chicago and just wanted to assess the vibe for dress code. I've been working at an EB in NYC for the last year and I typically wear athleisure stuff from Lululemon and honestly couldn't remember the last time I wore an actual dress shirt to work.

When I used to work in the South people were very buttoned up (dress shirt/ suit without a tie) so was ultimately wondering where Chicago falls on the spectrum.

Also yes I will be wearing a suit and tie on my first day at the office.
