Based on the most helpful WSO content, it seems that the trend in office footwear is leaning towards comfort, with many people opting for "dress" sneakers or hybrid styles. However, the choice of footwear can depend on the office environment and personal comfort. If you're considering Common Projects, they are known for their minimalist style and high quality, which could be a good fit for a more casual office setting or for days when you're not in client meetings. Ultimately, the decision should balance your personal comfort, the office dress code, and the impression you want to make.

Would actually spend an extra hundred or so and get the margiela replica sneakers. Feel a bit more unique and there's a lot of variation you can get with them. Quality is outstanding.

Unfortunately not - I didn't even know that style was called GAT until you said it lol. I'm sure most alternatives are just fine but I aim to buy not so often and with significant use in mind and don't mind dropping coin with that in mind. I also like non-GAT CLs lowtops without the studs (obviously given i'm not a rapper or generally the worst).

Great sneakers, have had a few pairs over the years and they last forever and age very well. The models don't really change though so I'd suggest to wait until Black Friday or some other sales events as you can often score 30-40% off. Agree with the previous poster about Margiela GAT, I also have bought more pairs than I should over the years, they are my go to sneakers but I think they're a bit harder to pull in a more "formal" environment.
