I couldn’t really care for dressing smart outside of the office. I still dress like I’m in college, usually some baggy jeans and a graphic t shirt or something

Generally I dress comfortably, but in a more timeless/classic way. For example, instead of baggy jeans and a graphic shirt I'll wear better fitting jeans and a no-logo T-shirt in a neutral color. For staples, I generally shop at J Crew / Uniqlo since they are decent quality and don't break the bank
I try to stay pretty put together outside of work and go for more so a loose fit version of a smart casual style. Lots of sweaters/knitwear paired with trousers or jeans. I think its important when styling yourself that you have a few staple pieces that you can build several outfits around. My go to brands are Madewell, Alex Mill, J Crew, Lulu, and Abercrombie.
