Link me to dress pants ($<100)
I heard a lot about bonobos but the nice ones are like $175 and not sure which other ones would work
What brand&line of pants should I buy under $100 for everyday wear to work (biz casual)? Banana Republic is > $100 as well iirc
Link me!
Was going to recommend Bonobos, but the dress pants are >$100. Wait for some daily deal vouchers to come around, so you can save. I've seen a $40 for $80 voucher on Gilt City before. Combine a voucher with a sale and you're golden. Sales happen around nearly every holiday.
im going to start working soon though. i guess i can wear my H&M dress pants for now but they are falling apart (not surprising)
which bonobos would you recommend though? there's so many i dont know what's good and what's not
if you look around at discounted higher-end clothing stores, you can probably get some reasonably dressy incotexes or mabitexes around your price range.
also saw some NWOT charcoal rlbl wool pants for ~125 on SF B&S. tons of stuff there.
Keep your eyes open in the Macy's suit section. You can get suit pants (normally ~$150), often for 40% off. Polo makes nice suit pants. Brooks Brothers is also a good spot to keep an eye on for sales - normally pricey, but you can find decent sales sometimes. Check out Calvin Klein too (normally ~$150, but all about the sales). All of these are wool, in case that wasn't obvious.
FYI use the code facebook40 on Bonobos for 40% off. It has to be the first order on an email address but you can always make up a new email. Takes those $175 pants down to $105.
They're not Bonobos but Mens Wearhouse has some really nice slacks and with the current BOGO sale you just can't beat the prices. They're not ultra high-end but you said biz casual and for that MW is perfect. I picked up two slacks this week with insane $24 overnight shipping for a total of $110. If I had done the free shipping, the pants would have been only something like $40 each.
Depends on the style, size, and fit you are looking for. In my experience you can get Incotex for the Banana Republic price you mentioned. Sometimes you can find Kiton for just a bit more. Also consider Zanella and Borrelli.
Try some of the following discount sellers:
Yoox.com virtualclotheshorse.com shopthefinest.com (They have a warehouse near LAX, you can make an appointment as I see you are in LA)
tradingevents.blogspot.com/p/uniform.html
Thanks guys. Any specific bonobos pants you recommend? They have so many I dont know what looks good IRL (and 40% is pretty awesome)
and ya I heard about those brands darkpool and I remember they were more expensive but ill definitely check out those links
I'm looking for nice slim fit dress pants that I can wear to work everyday (with say Charles Tyrwhitt/TM Lewin shirts for example)
First obvious question I should've asked you is did you go to the Bonobos website?
I saw some wool pants on sale in the $80s www.bonobos.com/pants-shorts/wool
Slim? Forget Kiton or Brioni, they are more for the fat cats (literally). Try Incotex and perhaps some Borrelli. You can always go to a good tailor and have things taken in.
Also depends on your time frame. There should be some sales after xmas.

Banana Republic...around 100 bucks..good pants too
You can get a set of wool Producers from Express for around $80. They're just about as nice as any Banana trousers.
If you have any time at all, go try on Incotex/Mabitex pants at Saks or something and then buy them online at SF B&S or eBay. This works for me, and I have done it a number of times. I have heard Borrellis are very slim, although I've never tried on any myself. Also they are much harder to find at a reasonable price than Inco/Mabis.
The only reason to pay $80 for something like Express is if you are lazy or are pressed for time. These are both valid excuses, but if you have a little bit of time then you can get something infinitely better. Hell, you can even get Brooks Brothers on sale for less than that. I've gotten a new pair of Brooks Brothers pants on SF for $30 shipped.
Also, since you said "link me," please see below. None of these will necessarily be what you are looking for, but I got these all off of the first B&S page for pants, meaning there are plenty more if you keep looking:
http://www.styleforum.net/t/268698/incotex-for-zegna-nwot-wool-black-si… (don't get these because you shouldn't wear black dress pants, but this would be an example)
http://www.styleforum.net/t/277804/very-nice-office-pants-part-ii - this one is literally called "Very Nice Office Pants". A lot of them are used which is a problem for some people but shouldn't be.

Gilt just posted some Bonobos for sale. Pants start at $49 up to their flagship pants at $125

Also, if you sign up for Bonobo's e-mail newsletter, you'll get some sizable discount codes every other week or so.
Yeah, I'm also subscribed to that one.
ive been checking styleforum but havent found anything that fits (32W, flat front, slim) just getting by with the pants i have right now
also heard BB Milano is slim. too bad bi-annual sale just passed and also corp discount is only 15%
BB Milano is slim by BB standards for sure. Try it out to see how it fits on you - I personally like it for casual clothes (khakis, cords, etc.) but find that the rise is a little to low for my taste in more conservative dress pants.
Keep checking StyleForum if you have the spare time. I've had really great success with it (new suits, dress pants, dress shirts, ties, belts, and even a few pairs of shoes) and a lot of my nicest dress clothes were bought new on the site for a fraction of retail. Once a day or even once every few days is usually enough, although the good deals and items in higher demand go really, really quickly (it is, after all, a site of people wanting high-end luxury clothes at extremely low prices).
Two words: Brooks Card. Get it, shop for a f**k ton (like a year's worth of staples), pay it off that minute. Just a thought. Did it for suits, worked nicely.
Do you live in NYC?
I'm sure most of you have heard of Uniqlo. I highly recommend their wool pants, which are currently on sale for $30. Go get 'em!
j crew is not half bad is slim is your primary criteria. more consistent (if not better) quality than discounted pants.
yea ur prob right
http://www.styleforum.net/t/285867/nwt-kiton-flat-front-dress-pants-100… found one that is my waist.. only $275...lol :( who the hell would pay $1800 retail for a pair of pants
