WSO needs to build a firewall, and make Reddit pay for it!

When Reddit sends its commenters, they’re not sending you. They’re sending people that have lots of problems, and they’re bringing those problems with them. They’re bringing bad takes, they’re anti-capitalist, they’re anti-finance, and none, I assume, are good people.

We need a big, beautiful firewall to prevent these people from posting here. Make WSO Great Again!

two replies to this and counting removed by mod team is chef's kiss. I've been banned from certain sub-reddits and called a fascist by the mods for saying things like 'maybe communism isn't great.' WSO hasn't reached that level yet thankfully. Being a mod seems to attract a certain type of petty tyrant with neurosis / mental health disorders for some reason.

r/financialcareers is such an afterbirth of a subreddit. Full of middle office and Big 4 accounting people giving out terrible advice like ‘just keep getting more degrees and certifications’. Never take advice from poor / non prestigious people.

And half of the users post shit like “I’m a senior comm major and I love trading stocks and managing money. I haven’t done any internships, I’m not in any clubs, and my GPA is 3.23. How can I get a job in investment banking?”
