Aussie HF looking for LDN move

Hi all,

I'm 2nd year HF analyst at a small firm with some supplementing co-portfolio management and operations responsibilities, based in Sydney, Aus.

I am seeking a more prestigious move, and Australia is extremely limited with opportunities on the HF/buyside space

I have UK/Aus (dual) citizenship and family scattered around the country. I'm wondering what my best steps are to facilitate a move.

Would it be a recruiter, or getting in touch with firms prior to relocation? Any background on the current market for a youngish HF analyst would be appreciated.

Start applying for anything that interest you and speaking with recruiters. Make it clear from the start you have citizenship, and do not require relocation or visa support. There's no real obstacles to the move, apart from Australian universities not really having any brand recognition. You'll need to lean on your experience for the most part.
