Large AM to small hedge-fund?
Hi all, I work in a large, very well known asset manager (strategist type of role, macro/FICC). I have an offer from a small hedge-fund (1-2bn USD). Because the HF is small, I see it as a riskier bet than a larger hedge-fund (potentially worse risk management as there is fewer people, and in general not a recognizable brand name so I loose a bit in that respect. The pay is great)
What do you think about this move - what are pros and cons? Does it make sense or should I wait? My main concern is how easy/difficult will be to move elsewhere (good HF or AM) in case things don't go well.
