Learning to Model for Different Industries
Lowly IB intern here. I got into the world of investing very recently so there's a lot of stuff I want to learn. Specifically, I want to really refine my modeling capabilities for pitching names (operating models, valuation, even LBO and M&A models) across different industries that obviously each take into consideration different things and are built out differently. How do I best go about practicing? Are there any resources or references I can use to better understand the nuances between industries? For current analysts, how did you begin to refine your modeling capabilities? I know this is a very naive question, but would really appreciate any guidance!
