Listen to earnings/conference calls or read the transcripts?

When you guys are ramping coverage or keeping up coverage, do you guys listen to earnings/conference calls or read the transcripts. I feel like its easier to pick up on details when you read the transcripts yourself, but I oftentimes experience myself getting bored quickly. The flipside to this is that earnings calls can be 45 min to 1 hr long so its time consuming. What do you guys think is most effective/worth it?

Yea I've wanted to compare notes on this one for some time. For me personally, I'm a more visual person - words on a piece of paper rlly seep into my brain and my eyes catch the patterns. Sitting there and listening makes my mind drift (call me a bad listener lmao). Not to mention that calls rlly drone on and on and it rlly cuts into your time. Rock up with a clear agenda/ questions in mind.
