WHU (Master in Finance) vs FS (Master of Finance) vs Mannheim (MiM) for IB placement in Frankfurt
I just got accepted by the WHU and FS, and am still waiting for the decision of the University of Mannheim.
My career goal is to work in IB in Frankfurt, or London as a second option.
I've seen many statistics, read the employment reports, looked at alumni statistics on LinkedIn, and was researching quite a bit about the topic.
I am aware of the fact that relevant internship experiences can be more important than the school itself, but I also know that the prominence of the school plays an important role.
As far as I understood, these are the pro's and con's of each of the 3 schools:
FS: high placement into IBD, but more into Tier 2 and 3 companies.
WHU: high reputation, but Master in Finance program is relatively new (although already highly ranked)
Mannheim: best public University, but less OCR than the WHU or FS.
I've also heard that it's pretty easy to get into FS, but quite hard to get into WHU and Mannheim.
Therefore, I would rank them as follows:
WHU>Mannheim>FS
Any further insight, feedback, experiences or constructive criticism is highly welcome.
euguest95, sorry about the lack of response. Maybe one of these topics will help:

You're welcome.
On point. WHU is by far the best university from DACH region for IB. St. Gallen also comes to the same level but Manheim not so much.
Went for WHU. Pretty sure I won't regret it.
Same here. I’m also going to WHU this fall. PM
How has your experience been
Honestly I feel like universities in Germany fall a little bit off vs the others - specially if you end up deciding recruiting elsewhere. I would probably go elsewhere and recruit for IB in Germany. You could try going for St. Galen, LBS, ESADE, or even Nova SBE (heard they have great placement into the German market and its cheaper and easier to get in) .
