am i cooked?

I really want to break into ER/AM in Singapore, however as a foreigner in a private uni with no first class honors, I feel like it would be hard for me to break into.

3.4 GPA,
recently founded equity research club for my school, networking in & outside of the university.
sitting for L1 CFA in November, would that make any difference at all for banks to consider?

any inputs are appreciated

No PR, Curtin Singapore

From my experience speaking with Singaporeans in high finance, going to any local uni apart from the big 3 (NUS, SMU, NTU) will make it exponentially harder to break into Singapore IB. Furthermore, the lack of a high GPA doesn't help either. But anything can happen I guess, you'll just have to network as much as you can and really get top tier extra-curriculars. Also, not having permanent residence or citizenship will make it challenging to get hired. I'd suggest looking into IB in your home country.
