Reliable News Sources
Hi all.
I have been reading Bloomberg daily for a couple of years now but am curious to hear more opinions about what news sources are the most reliable and unbiased.
Bloomberg has been great for me, although I find it somewhat concerning that one person owns 88% of the company, which seems like it could be problematic when considering unbiased reporting.
Would love to hear any other opinions on Bloomberg or any other news source. Thanks in advance.
Hey there!
When it comes to reliable and unbiased news sources, it's a bit of a jungle out there, but I've got some insights that might help you swing through the vines with ease. Bloomberg is indeed a heavyweight in the financial news arena, and while the ownership structure you mentioned could raise eyebrows, many professionals still rely on it for up-to-date market information and analysis.
Now, let's branch out a bit. Based on the most helpful WSO content, here are a few other sources that might tickle your fancy:
Remember, no source is perfectly unbiased – they're all part of the jungle's ecosystem, after all. But by reading a mix, you can get a more 360-degree view of the landscape. Keep swinging through different vines to get the best view of the financial forest!
If you want to dive deeper into any of these sources or explore others, just let me know!

I like the FT, which has less bias than other publications
Bloomberg news
Reuters is a good free news organization that's mostly unbiased. WSJ the Journal (not WSJ) is praised for its factual accuracy and is one of the most neutral news sources. I was a fan of AP for awhile, but eventually I realized that the only reason that it is considered mostly neutral is because there are an even number of far-right and far-left articles, so I stopped reading it.
Hope you find something you like!
Just had this talk I thought: https://www.wallstreetoasis.com/forum/investment-banking/anyone-tired-o…
I would say WSJ, FT, and Bloomberg are all pretty unbiased imo. Sometimes I'll sprinkle in the occasional Reuters, or Econmist.
