I increased public markets exposure via index fund, pretty boring. But had nothing there for a long time lol.

REPE, put some $ to work via a GP I’ve known for a while.

I am largely in my own deals though, which I guess would be like investing in the PE fund you work at or something.

I’ve done quite a few deals for minority stakes in small early stage cos ranging from tech/SaaS to dental roll ups with $5m - $20m in rev. I like these a lot because they are fcf+ and not doing the venture thing. Usually growing nicely every year, etc. I wish I had WAY more of this deal flow as it’s the easiest 30%+ IRR lol but I can’t find as much as I’d like. Hard to find good founders/operators… These deals are cheap because the companies are way too small for PE and as an individual, I am more flexible than any fund can be

I suppose I am heavy on cash too but I am very conservative there and like a nice cash buffer to attack good opportunities when they pop up.

Would love more niche software with small TAM… But maybe I should just buy some constellation stock and call it a day :-)

Would also love to find more emerging managers but most seem to be lazy.

hope it works out, that would be really cool

thanks it's going pretty good in terms of getting a ton of cool shit made but I can't figure out distribution aspect at all. pretty much need to either get super lucky with some random press or random famous person (artist) getting wind of what I am doing or need to sync up with a label or music manager who knows what they are doing (which seems like the more likely to happen route but still pretty hard especially cause what I am doing is cool but maybe not super 'commercial' and legit everyone 'in the business' who I get in contact with either scums me - like paid 4 dudes with legit experience for 'advice' who all ignored me when I tried to reach out after the advice call - or just stops responding after a while). anyways gonna keep trying it's only been like a little bit over a year.

Co-invested with my fund on last deal and will be putting in a bit more EOY. Have a couple of single stock names I've put decent amounts into. Looking at putting what other money I have into some real estate.

Younger lad here but lump summed into $VTI a few months ago. I track my spending on Mint and invest extra saved every month. Boring but tried and true.
