Just one person's opinion / perspective: CarterPierce was one of the weaker firms I've dealt with in terms of showing me opportunities. That doesn't mean you shouldn't speak with them, but they only sent me two or three interesting things.
They may not have sent me opportunities for many reasons, however. I'm MM, I was a first year, I'm not west-coast based, and I have no truly compelling reason to move (beyond that I was geography agnostic).
mostly lower MM ops with a handful of mid-tier clients. exclusively non-NYC firms
understand that they're lower mm to mm pe for west coast, but just wanted to know if people can share a few of the actual names.
Lower and Upper-MM PE opportunities. IIRC they cover Genstar, GI, FP, Aurora, Freeman-Spogli, etc. Probably some lower-quality firms as well but plenty of top-quartile MM.
