MBA vs MiF in Europe for PE
Hi,
I have a MiM degree from a Top 3 Buisness School in France and have been working for two years in a big four TS team. I would like to break into private equity and wanted to know if a MiF from a LBS/LSE/HEC would be enough or would I need to do an MBA (clearly the advantage of a MiF is lower tuition fees). I am only targeting PE firms in Europe.
Thanks
Both could work but, generally speaking, in Europe people don't get as hard for MBAs as they do in the US. I would take whichever is cheaper and easier (most likely the MFin) from those top targets you mentioned.
Thanks!
In TS have you done your ACA? A lot of advertised MM PE roles in London look for the ACA Big 4 background.
No, I didn't mention it but I work in France so there is no ACA approved employer here.
MFin is not a great feeder to PE in London, unless it is maybe London Business School Master in Finance NOT the MFA...
Reach out to recruiters. You could get lucky and not need to do either.
