Hi, I go to non target and will graduate in May and will start at GS/JPM coverage group nyc. Non target stats - 3.2 overall gpa , finance major, comp sci minor. Have bunch of leadership experience and couple internship experiences at other places in finance.. thoughts?

3.2 means you're filtered out of a lot of large cap opportunities unfortunately. I would be open to smaller funds with your background
If i take the gmat and get 700+ will it offset it
3.2 is going to be a non-starter at most of these funds. 700 isn't that great tbh considering median scores at most M7 schools are around 730. You'd probably need higher than that to potentially offset the GPA unless you have a really good hook (diversity, D1 athlete, first gen, etc.)
You already know it’s either internally moving to GS IB or MBA target for UMM/MF brah.
