I cannot find any information on which career path pays more? I was wondering if people could chime in? I am debating whether or not pursing general PE or REPE? Is the pay for PE bigger?

Chose the sector because you're interested in it, not for the check you get. Senior management will immediately sniff you out for choosing your career path based on that. For REPE a lot of the time they want people that are really invested in getting involved in RE markets.

This is true but do want to note that there is generally a significant discount for REPE comp at the junior level. Not sure how the gap widens or narrows as one progresses.
Very good point there, I'd almost say that adds to the point of making sure you actually want to work in the REPE space given that your commitment is rewarded in the longer term.
For MF / UMM, “all else equal” (assuming same firm ie KKR PE vs KKR REPE or BX PE vs BX REPE), obviously PE will pay more over career. Function of investing in different assets across risk spectrum + getting higher returns in PE than REPE — in PE you get carry in funds that have better performance and likely higher incentive fees. So all else equal (fund size, similar caliber firm) you’ll make way more in PE
