Send the Bonus

23 y/o analyst at MM PE shop. Live in a tier 2 city and am comfortable off salary alone. Know I’ll probably get a lot of hate for this one, but thinking of rolling entire bonus this year into the fund to show commitment / fund is doing well. Anyone know of a tax-advantaged way to roll comp into the fund to defer taxes?

I would definitely not do it to "show commitment" as no one cares but doing it if they don't charge mgmt fees and in a tax advantaged way definitely makes sense. You should ask your fund not us if they allow fee waivers and the like

I would recommend against this, especially for 100% of bonus. It's significantly more downside than upside. If fund gets blown up, you lose your savings + likely your job. Unless you have great line of sight to strong realizations that are currently marked conservatively or there is large tax / fee savings.
