Going from US REPE to UK REPE

Would love to get some advice here on a move within REPE from the US to the UK.

The firm I currently work for is around $10B AUM, and the team I am on is dedicated to US seniors housing (Just under $1B raised for this vertical). Worked on multiple buy/sell side processes (around $500M in closed transactions). Very lean team so lots of work in AM as well. From target school and have three years at this firm starting as an analyst to recently an associate.

I know the market is not great right now, but have not had much luck at all with HHs and don't want to over network myself. Trying to get a feel for the best approach here and expectation for comp. I think my biggest drawbacks are 1: I still live in the US and it is hard to convince people I am actually moving/already have a visa and 2: am focused on a relatively niche asset class that transfers even less to the markets of Europe.

Current Comp (USD): $125K base, 20% bonus...., 1.25% Carried interest in our second fund.

Note: Have a visa secured that will give me two years without needing sponsorship upon arrival. Plan to move in the next 3 months.

What is the best strategy here? Would like to be at a MF and get a good brand on the resume but am really open to anything that can make this move work.
