Top Real Estate desks in Europe

Hi guys,

Looking mainly at exits, dealflow and prestige, which are in your opinion the best and strongest groups in the European Real Estate market?
With Europe I mean London, Paris, Milan and Frankfurt.
Other than BB, someone told me about Evercore, Lazard and Hines.
There are the big brokerage firms (JLL, CBRE, Cushman), Big4 also have hot RE desks, Blackstone (only in London I think)...

Do you guys have other names?

Worth noting that junior roles there are pretty crap. I know some people that are in that class. Apparently financial reporting in 60% of the job and headhunters are consistently unimpressed with Tristan analyst ability to do excel.

Former HFF crew, Eastdil, Brookland Partners, Evercore NPL squad crushes it, LoneStar and the rest of the big name NPL bois, Cairn, Cheyne, etc. - random bunch of names just throwing shit out there.

I had a flair for languages. But I soon discovered that what talks best is dollars, dinars, drachmas, rubles, rupees and pounds fucking sterling.

Hines has a European Core Fund and a European Value Fund. Also a Poland fund, and Russian separate accounts.

They have offices in Paris, Milan, London, and Frankfurt.

They have several more offices than this, including Greece, Spain, Netherlands, Nordics and Ireland. Underwriting for their funds is generally led by the local teams given they’re on the ground, the actual fund teams (located in London and pretty small) focus more on the portfolio management / investor relations side of the business from what I’ve been told.

For balance sheet it’s: All the BB shops, Natixis, Santander, bbva, hsbc, aareal, leumi, Deutsche Pfandbriefbank and all the German kantonal and sparkassen banks. Trying to think who else looks at our European deals I’ll come back to you.

Advisory: Eastdil, brookland partners, evercore, Rothschild, and the BB banks. There’s a lot of boutiques too.

I had a flair for languages. But I soon discovered that what talks best is dollars, dinars, drachmas, rubles, rupees and pounds fucking sterling.
