MSc Profile Evaluation - Oxford/LBS/LSE/HEC

Would be nice to get some insights on my profile for these programs since I could possibly get in a position of having to reject a potential full-time offer this summer (although I am very humble about even getting an offer) in order to study a master.

I am looking to apply for the following:
- Oxford MFE
- LBS MFA
- HEC MIF
- LSE MIF

A short summary of my profile:
- European white male
- Currently studying a BSc majoring Finance on a semi-target uni in Europe
- GPA: 3.6/4.0
- GMAT: 720

  • Internships:
    1 EB in London (Laz/Rot/PJT)
1 MBB in my home country
    1 local PE shop
    1 small M&A boutique

Extra:
Coming from a professional sports background

I want to study a MSc in order to strengthen my resume for future PE MF recruiting, also my goal is to start of my career at GS/MS/JP in LDN (preferably in one of the better groups).

How does my chances look at the different schools?

A combination of luck, networking and also to having the opportunity (because uni her is pretty soft), to do internships parallel with school:)

For Oxford MFE your GMAT should be higher, but not impossible. For the rest of the schools, you have a decent profile. Make sure to ace the essays and interviews, and you will be fine.

I think you should be a pretty clear admit for all the schools except Oxford. I also think you have a strong shot at Oxford given your work experience, although your GMAT and GPA are a bit on the lower side. You should definitely apply

Are we talking like 25% admission changes at LBS/LSE/HEC and maybe 3-5% at Oxford or is it some now possible to quantify? So hard to get a good picture of peoples profiles except for GMAT in most cases

Obviously, this would just be speculation but I'd say 75% for HEC, LSE, 100% for LBS (as long as you do decent on the interview) and 40-50% Oxford

They all definitely give you a good shot if you work hard, but my impression is Oxford > LSE MSc Finance and MSc Finance and PE > HEC > LBS > all other LSE programmes

Would argue you have a solid chance at all. I am from Europe, got into MIM / M2M at INSEAD, HEC / Yale and LBS with lower GMAT, slightly higher GPA at a barely semi-target, similar working experience for MGMT roles, less any MBB internships. Just draft a good story and have front LOR.

Alla relevant info: 660, 3.8/4.0, 1 F50 company sales internship, 2 boutique consulting firms (one started by MBB partners), 1 Strategy internship

Did extracurriculars all 3 years in BSc with 5 leadership positions in our union so pushed that as well. Also elite junior athlete back in the days.
