GS Equities

I am interviewing with both GS Equities and FICC. If I can't get into FICC, should I take equity? People say it's dead, but I would like to hear from people who are actually in Trading. What is your advice? If FICC doesn't work out, should I just go for i-banking or is there still some potential in Equities?

There is some good stuff in Equity derivs still

what kind of person are you? if you aren't a retarded athlete they probably won't bother putting you in equities anyway

No, i'm not a retarded athlete. I'm interning at a hedge fund, but not on the trading side, more on the research/valuation side. What kind of questions will I be asked for both Equities and FICC? I'm a Finance major, so I took two Calculus courses but those were my freshman year so I barely remember anything from those. What kind of math questions will they ask? Do they expect you to know programming?
