Internships in trading?

Earlier this year I sent my resume out to some contacts in the banking world. After a lot of thought and research I realize that investment banking simply is not for me. In just about everyway I can imagine (personality, relative strengths and weaknesses, interests, etc.) I feel that trading would be a much better fit. Unfortunately, I have few, if any, concrete connections in trading and do not have a particularly strong resume in terms of GPA and I go to a "non-target" albeit top 30 school. I know options strategy and "Greeks" backwards and forwards but am concerned that I'll never get the chance to show my knowledge. I'd really like to intern this summer but am pretty bummed out about the possibilities of landing a summer spot. Does anyone have any on how I should express my strengths (i.e. understanding of options/Greeks) on my resume such that it isn't simply thrown out?

This process is incredibly frustrating, I choose my school over more prestigious schools because I liked the area/atomsphere, now it appears I'm going to pay dearly for a decision I made at 17. Thanks guys.
