Making a career in trading

Hello everyone,

My name is David, I'm 20 years old and from the Netherlands. I've always wanted to make a career in trading, I've been studying it from a young age (mainly TA even though I am becoming more aware that TA isn't actually used as much professionally). I'm in my second year of my bachelor in Economics, which I specifically chose because I read that it was sought after for a career in trading. I've been trying my best to get a good GPA, currently around a 7.7/10. I got some sales experience to get out of my comfort zone, got some work experience in a place where you make 14hour days to get used to that, and ofcourse developed my stress resistance by trading my own money.

I know how important it is to secure a summer internship for 2021 right now. I applied for GS, have not heard back. I applied for JPM, got rejected for the trading internship but got through for the e trading internship and did the hirevue 1 month ago, but still have not heard back. Could someone who has walked the walk give me some advice?

Thanks! I did not know networking had to be done on such a scale. It's not really something that is natural to me so I guess it will be a good exercise of getting out of my comfort zone again.
