Intro: former tech VC starting a trading firm

Hi everyone! Wanted to introduce myself to WSO. I used this forum almost a decade ago to land a job in venture capital straight out of college (thanks Patrick!). Those were the good days (2007) when finding a job in finance was considerably easier.

Ultimately, I decided that working in a structured organization (even VC, which is pretty loose) wasn't really for me. Following my stint in VC I joined a portfolio company in the brokerage/trading industry. I worked for that firm in a corporate development role for 2 years in Hong Kong. After I got bored of being in that job, I decided to strike out on my own. I'm currently in the process of setting up my own trading firm.

Happy to join the community and looking forward to contributing!
