Networking Hacks/Leverage
I just graduated and am moving to the Bay for a job as an engineer at an AI thing. During college I networked via cold messaging through linkedIn and email, and going to happy hours etc. That got me decently far, but as I've gone higher up, I've realized people are more willing to meet if you have some leverage (investor, large+valuable rolodex, etc). I don't have any of those things right now.
I am putting this out there to ask, does anyone have suggestions for how to build/acquire this conversational "leverage"?

Fingers crossed that one of those helps you.
Probably the best you could do is leaning into being a young ambitious person -- SV idolizes youth, so if you bring that lightning-in-a-bottle, intense curious energy people will be down to talk. Couple that with a bit of flattery and leverage any warm connections
