Upcoming CVC Interview. Advice?

I've got an upcoming interview with a ~F30 CVC in my industry vertical. They've been around for a while and have invested >$1Bn, doing a few small deals each year. I've done some research and the general consensus is that CVC isn't the best option compared with true VC/PE. However, they look legit. Their members sit on boards and they invest with an active portfolio.

I guess my questions are:

1) How rare is this opportunity

2) Is this sustainable in the long term compared with PE/PC? What are my options going to look like down the road?

Would greatly appreciate any advice.
