Go in there with a biz pln of how u will grow their accnt base by 20x and how you will leverage your interest and years of experience/schooling into driving returns/ managing ppls money

On that note, make it sound like you have a huge network of people that you could potentially turn into clients.
The process for managing retail investors money:
1) Ask the investor's goals (needs and time horizon) 2) Get a sense of their ABILITY to bear risk vs their WILLINGNESS to bear risk 3) Ask about any constraints (liquidity, tax, etc) 4) Form investment policy (Generally... Older = more risk averse, higher need for income; Younger = less risk averse, higher need for growth)
