Best Magazine for AM
As some of you may know, I'm trying to teach myself finance to prepare for a career in asset management (after I finish my Masters in Econ). So far, I've been reading a finance textbook and I'm looking for a magazine to supplement my technical reading. Which magazine is best for current and aspiring asset managers? Barrons? WSJ? Something else? I'm basically looking for something that will help me think more like an asset manager, something that applies the tools of analysis to real-world investments.
I would say Institutional Investor is a good general industry publication. You won't learn too much about the technical side, but it's a great update for industry news and trends.
