Bain London Final Round Interviews

Hi Team,

I have a Bain London Final Round Interviews coming up. Anyone who will be willing to shed some light on this? How different will this be compared to first round interviews?

I heard interviews can be pretty unstructured.

Main difference is the seniority of the interviewers and the fact that those cases won't be as scripted as in your first round.

In the final round, you typically have Senior Managers or Associate Partners, and one Partner. This is still CV blind, except for the Partner I believe, but odds are they won't have looked. In addition, the cases they use will more likely be drawn on their own project experience.

This means that they will know them inside out. If they ask you if you considered X, it means you really should consider X because it's important. And if they tell you that Y is not important, then drop it quick. The partner at the end will likely be voicing it over, meaning no material will be shared / flashed on screen, so make sure to take really good notes.

Other than that, the usual: be structured, fast but not reckless, and have fun with it. And of course have a couple questions to ask.

what's the point of a CV blind interview lol

To reduce conscious & unconscious biases. You get to be scored based purely on your performance. Not on what the interviewer believes your performance should be based on your work experience, academics, or others.

If you're good, then you're good. No undue expectations or excuses made. Your CV + test performance gets you the interview. Everything after that is on your actual abilities.
