Breaking into Consulting as Corporate Finance worker

I am a student entering their senior year of university going into a corporate finance internship, a pretty well known company as well. I was wondering how difficult it would be to start going into consulting now. I am planning on building myself as a great candidate in the next year as I learned I have an interest in the area. What are some things I can do to make my resume look better? Please note that I have no experience in consulting however I plan on joining a few clubs in the coming year to grow my knowledge and meet those who are currently in the field to learn more.

Here is a collection of topics I have addressed in the past about prep:

  • General CV advicelink
  • General preplink
  • Prep timeline / approachlink
  • Giving caseslink
  • General material for prep (inc. case books and test prep): Dropbox Link (link expires in a week from today, 28/04, so download quickly)

And in general:

  • case prep live with others
  • be excellent at school
  • get involved outside just classes
  • make an impact (doesn't mean you have to cure blindness, but just make sure to keep track of the outcomes of what you'll be doing in clubs / internships / etc.)
  • network with alumni (if in the US)
