As an incoming IB SA interested in recruiting for consulting FT, I was wondering:

Are timelines for FT recruiting similar to IB? Say interviews would begin august/september? Or are they totally random based on needs?

Would it make more sense to do ~1yr in banking and lateral or try to recruit FT post grad?

What team should I try to get placed into for the best experience to leverage for consulting? I'm assuming M&A or some sort of coverage team.
