Operational Restructuring vs Financial Restructuring
What do you guys think is better (or prestigious), Operation Restructuring vs Financial Restructuring?
I'm noticing several firms here in Canada is either building out their Operational Turnaround service offering, or already have an existing service line that cater to Operational work. I only have experience in Financial Restructuring (or what is known as your insolvency court proceedings i.e., Bankruptcy, CCAA/Chapter 11, Receivership/Chapter 7 Liquidations).
I have some modest interest cater to Operational Turnaround work, specific in regards to performance improvement, working capital management since I find those work more engaging than writing court reports.
However, I still want to make an exit to IB or Private Equity, is it still possible if my experience caters more toward Operational?
Appreciate everybody viewpoint on this.
