Which is better for business school?
I'm trying to evaluate between 2 offers: Kurt Salmon and PwC Advisory. Both are in NYC.
Also - what is the level of flexibility in PwC? For example, if I am in the healthcare group, would I still be able to work in projects in the FS practice?
Kurt Salmon. PwC Advisory = MBB + IB rejects.
However, GENERALLY SPEAKING, all other consulting firms = MBB rejects.

Accounting firms are brutal. Working big 4 is the thing of the past, being under the saem roof as accountants is painful. There are good accountants but they no longer work for public practice.

No one has actually said anything about bschool placement... i understand there might not be so much info on KS, but what about PwC? Can associates/senior associates get into 2nd tier (columbia/booth/sloan/kellogg) schools easily? How is the competition vs other PwC/big 4 associates?
B-school is pretty far down the line...not even on my radar yet. What are your other goals--and what's going to be the most beneficial in terms of getting you there?
All things considered, I'd choose KSA. Agreed with working for Big 4 advisory...with the exception of Deloitte (S&O) Big 4 is not really "consulting"...can't do anything too strategic due to SOX restrictions. While KSA is more retail/consumer specific it's more "consulting" than PwC will get. Not to mention KSA has a banking arm, health care consulting arm, and CIO advisory arm in addition to its more well-known retail/consumer consulting.
