Cap IQ vs. Factset for Corporate Development?
Hi, I've been on sell-side and buy-side long-only and L/S equities for years... moving to the corporate side in Corporate Development. I've used Factset years ago, but have been on Bloomberg the last 5+ years. I'm totally new to Corp Dev. I'll be monitoring a mix of public and privates. I can choose between Factset and Cap IQ. Have never used Cap IQ. Do you recommend one or the other for Corp Dev? Why?

I recommend FactSet over CapIQ - I think the platform is just more intuitive and easier to use, but that might be a personal preference. Both are kind of dog water for private companies though. If you can, I would also ask for Pitchbook.
