CFA or internship before masters of finance

Hi everyone, im in a bit of a dillema. I have 3 months free till college starts in October 2016. In september 2017 ill start my masters in a new country, germany, as i want to get a masters of finance there as well as a job. I speak german by the way, and was thinking.

What would be better for me now to have as an asset when looking for a job in germany as a newcommer and student of masters of finance (corporate finance/risk management jobs):
1. passed CFA level 1
or
2. 6 month internship in corporate finance/risk management

Idk about Europe but here in the states an internship would probably be the best choice. You can pass level 1 of the CFA during or right after your MSF.

Hey,

in Germany everyone cares about internships. It is not uncommon to have like 4 or 5 at the end of your master's degree. The CFA is not that important. I am studying at a German target university and nobody does the CFA exam because it is does not give you a huge advantage in IBD in Germany.

If I were you, I would send out applications to all major banks, etc.
