Treasury Exit Opportunities
Hi!
So can anyone outline the exit opportunities from Treasury? I'm currently in a corporate treasury role that doesn't have much career projection internally (struggling company - no M&A division) - and so I'm looking for other opportunities that I could explore.
In my current role, I've been exposed to multiple refinancings, managment of the long term cash flow model, some operations, and some outreach for new investors. I'm pushing for more exposure into the risk management side, but I don't think I'll get exposure to that anytime soon. I have a background in audit & an MBA that focused in banking & finance.
Thanks.
Interested in this too (in a risk-based Treasury role atm). Have seen individuals move into more execution based roles (FX hedging, Swaps/Money Markets trading) and broader Treasury areas like Liquidity/Capital Management.
Is there anything outside of treasury either? My company doesn't have M&A or Corp Dev divisions - so it's hard to see what else is out there
Have you thought of lateraling to another company that does have M&A or corp dev roles? You could probably network your way in internally
if you had to choose a career, which of the roles do you think would offer a better career path/exit ops assuming the risk role is for a non-trading book?
