Exclusively sponsor backed private credit primarily in Tech/HC/Financial services from 1L/Uni all the way down to Mezz/Pref. I don’t think they are good investors, they just underwrite the big blue chip sponsors in the most resilient assets. Will sell the second they see mixed results. You will see volume and should have a decent WLB however. Happy to answer any more specific questions, I know few people that work/worked there.

ouch, yeah was getting a bit sold on the ticket size (recruiter told me average 200-500m EUR) and ability to play down in PIK/Pref/etc.. But seems like not the best shop to learn junior credit investing which was my goal.

Look both of these are true, GIC will not be interested below the 100m mark. And I would say 40% of the portfolio is PIK/Prefs. But as said they will do it with H&F, Advent, Bain in top quality assets. Also people make little investment judgment, they just lay out facts & numbers for the IC to make a judgment.
I don’t think its a great investing role but I think its a great role in the finance industry - little risk / medium reward: hard to be pushed out, room to grow, will pay OK but never like a top shop, limited exit opps until senior level imo - people will just value your network which works at the senior level (Principal+).
