Sector/Industry Coverage
Currently in a finance club and one of the projects we were assigned was to pick a stock (market cap 2bn-10bn) to research and present. I have taken lower level macro/micro economics classes but I have not taken any finance classes yet so my ability to perform quantitative analysis is a work in progress.
I understand the best one to analyze is what interest me most (financials/banks) but I've heard those can be the most challenging to analyze. What sector/industry would be best to analyze for a beginner?
If you are interested in financials, dive into it. It will be more nuanced, but if you enjoy it and learn a more challenging industry, you’ll be better off in the end
Agreed, if you’re motivated enough. And if you learn one regional bank, you almost get the rest “for free.”
Any good financials primers?
