Business casual interview = suit and tie
For an IB interview, if the firm says "our dress code is business casual", what would you wear? A suit and tie? Or a suit and no tie?

Better to overdress than underdress
I disagree, as I think there is a specific reason why they ask the interviewee to wear business casual. When firms specifically ask for business casual, I perceive it more as a test. If you show up wearing business formal, the interviewer might take it as you not following instructions. While there are several connotations of business casual, I don’t think you could go wrong with a collared shirt with one button off. If you’re really tweaking then just wear a nice tie with the shirt.
Just because the firm's dress code is business casual doesn't mean that's the dress code for the interview. Interviews are always more formal, OP should wear a full suit.
Suit, no tie.
