Women’s work shoes

Hi, any advice on what shoes I can wear to work in London? I heard the dress code is quite formal in the bank I’ll be joining. I am not a fan of wearing heels to work as my commute involves lots of walking.

Any thoughts on specific shoes and brands I can look into thats worked well in your experience ?

I like wearing low (1-2 inch) heels and I'm fine walking long distances in them. If you get something with a slightly curved toe (rather than pointed) it'll be more comfortable. But a lot of people will wear nice loafers as well or ankle boots in the winter.

For brands - not sure where you are located but in the US, DSW has a wide selection at different price points and you can also find great brands for slightly cheaper at places like Nordstrom Rack. In the UK if you’re ok spending a bit more money, Russell and Bromley is very comfortable or Office for a lower price point

Tory Burch flats or Russell & Bromley! Clarks is also good and comfortable. Fenwick has more options in terms of brands and great quality
