Brevan Howard London / Moore / Caxton
Hey guys, currently trading a macro product at a top US Investment Bank (GS/JP/MS). For background, this product has become super illiquid, so there are only a few active clients but literally no macro hedge fund.
I was looking at a few Macro HFs like Brevan / Moore / Caxton / BlueCrest - they don't have any contact details apart from a number that I doubt would take you to any HR professional at the firm. Therefore, I was wondering how could I follow any potential opening for a junior analyst / trader / risk taker.
I am aware that the best step here would be to move to a liquid product where HFs are actually active as clients such as Swaps, Swaptions or FX Vol.
Are there any good recruiters you would recommend getting in touch with?
Also, a few more questions here for anyone that knows:
How does BlueCrest recruit at junior level? What about Millennium, Soros or Tudor?
Does DE Shaw have a Macro team in London?
Thanks a lot for any help!
ask your sales guys to get you out with the client for "entertainment" and then ask the client for an intro.
That's what I'd like to do as well, a bit hard given no hedge funds are our clients, so needs a strong connection, strong push and a bit of luck for something like that to work out. Will try...
whats the macro product?
It's CDS
ok, so start talking to the European rates desk sales guys...for the underlying bonds...they will have macro fund clients who would like to talk to you.
