Dallas (DFW) Fund Landscape

Hello WSO,

Most discussions on the Dallas Fort Worth Area on this forum are relatively old. I was wondering if anyone has any insight on the fund landscape in the DFW area, specifically the returns of various top funds headquartered there.
I'm a senior in college double majoring in Economics and Math and have interned for four T1 hedgefunds (10Bn+) over the past four years. I'm currently speaking with a headhunter for Morgan Stanley's hedgefund business about opportunities in Dallas.

I am aware of Carlson Capital, Canyon Partners, Highland Capital, Trive, and HBK but haven't been able to find much on whether their AUM is growing or declining (13F's aren't always accurate) and what their 1/3/5/10yr return profiles look like. I would like to know if anybody has any other multi-billion $ managers they're aware of in the DFW area and what the culture of these firms is like.

Thanks
