Egerton Capital
Was wondering if any of you could provide insight into them? Culture, promotion, performance recently, etc…
I’ve been able to gather some info from talking to people in the city but it’s mostly hearsay. Thanks in advance!

Your hearsay might be relatively better than what can be found on this forum, which is very little unfortunately - the firm is after all quite small, very low turnover, so I guess that points to good culture? Someone also opened a thread on them recently:

Apparently performance has been meh recently, have a look for yourself:

don't have any firsthand knowledge on the firm, but for what it's worth, the founder of lone pine's son works there. usually firms with offspring of luminaries have good culture - otherwise they'd leave for the million other opportunities at their fingertips
Hah, cool. And considering Lone Pine is pretty well known for a good culture, I guess you can make the case that the son of someone fostering good culture wouldn't work for a hostile sweatshop. Looks like a cool place Egerton

He’s obviously a successful investor but Armitage didn’t impress me in that podcast. He sounded like a whiny old man.
Yah, but at his net worth, he prob doesn't care to impress anymore.
How does it compare to TCI and AKO?
In terms of what? It’s like asking how does Elliott compare with Lone Pine. They are all great shops that have different strategies. Just look at their 13Fs.
