Evergreen Coast Capital (Elliott PE arm)

I’m curious to hear thoughts on some of the PE/VC arms that are being established by some of the more well known hedge funds.

Obviously Tiger Global has been using a PE vehicle for some time now and Elliott established a tech focused buyout arm headed by Jesse Cohn in 2015 (haven’t seen much discussed on Evergreen). I believe Maverick is setting up a VC-esque vehicle as well.

Can anyone shed light on how these buyout arms operate in conjunction with the “parent” hedge fund. I’d imagine they are a similar experience to working at some of the mid-tier shops in terms of AUM? any insight?
