Can we make a list of hedge funds where IPs can invest in public and private markets across the capital structure in healthy and distressed companies.
Already know of Elliot, Third Point and Baupost.

Know of Abrams which is formed by an ex Baupost investor
Bump
I'd assume Farallon fits in there as well.
I think their siloed though. Looking for places where an IP can get meaningful exposure to both equity and credit.
Yeah, I think so too. They recruit for teams separately, and fwiw there's a recent thread about this. I'd argue however that Elliott is pretty siloed as well, though not clear whether only at PM level or below as well. Also the way they silo teams is weird (there's tech activism, there's distressed, there's non-tech activist, etc.).
Baupost has separate teams for public and private
didn't know that thanks
And real estate I think
I know BainCap Special sits in Europe has a similar mandate, even if not an HF. Blantyre (still Europe) and I think Cyrus, DK too
Following
Third Point is siloed at the junior level from their org structure chart but the reality might be different i.e juniors working where the opportunity is. Can any one chime in here?
None of the names mentioned actually fit the mold: Baupost has separate teams for LO, event equity, distressed etc. Farallon, Elliott, and third pt also have separate teams. Third pt I'm not as positive on but others yes.
Redwood is true across cap stack. Greenlight. Will edit if more come to mind
King St, Goldentree?
Pretty siloed the both of them
Goldentree is siloed.
King street is not siloed but you won’t be doing very much equity oriented stuff.
Do you have any more insight about Redwoods strategy and culture?
