Hedge Fund Comp
Working at a hedge fund means you're total compensation can fluctuate wildly because most of it is paid in annual bonuses. Assuming your fund is not going to earn any incentive fees in 2008, how much do you expect to earn?
I have been at my firm for 4 years and I am making active investment decisions daily. I will not get a cash bonus, but I think I will get an unvested stake in the funds that will get my total comp to about $200k this year (the unvested part obviously makes that number imperfectly high).
I think this is low (big surprise, another one of us thinks he is underpaid) given my personal performance.

Just be glad you still have a job. Lots of firms going to shut up shop.
