idk
Yes I heard they hired that dude who who just dropped $70mm trading euro credit to help build up the platform
They are expanding into fixed income? Will there be a squeeze for FICC traders if SMS try to push into the MM model?
Any more color here?
holy shit, sawjani going to viking to build a credit platform is super exciting
What’s up with the current credit guy they have?
They were founded as a multi PM business from the start, and Andreas hasn’t run money since maybe ‘04? They benchmark PMs to 40% net exposure, not low net but also not Tiger or Lone Pine high net approach either. What exactly is new, at least on the equities side?
Viking has always been a fast money shop, even in its heyday.
What is genuinely fast money in terms of comp at places like Viking, assuming 2 years of PE straight out of undergrad?
Id assume you’d get paid a similar base to that of a junior at P72/Citadel.
Fast money means they have high portfolio turnover, not that you get rich quick, man.
Can someone comment on how to get to Viking as a junior analyst? Is it possible? Worth it?

Steadfast Capital management is a mid-sized tiger cub with a hybrid PM structure with lower net exposure than their historic peer set.

I was actually between there and another shop several years ago, glad I didn’t end up there..
Are you at a similar type of fund?
