Senior Finance Student Who Feels Clueless

To be frank, I want to make a lot of money. I know I am capable of working with the best and working like a mule. I am a senior finance student with a BO/MO analyst summer internship lined up with JP Morgan (summer 2023). Not an IB role. I think I want to break into PE and maybe eventually to an HF in the future(expected scoffs), what kind of steps should I be taking? I know how important networking is in this sector and obviously knowing the right people can sometimes be all you need. But I do not know people and it was a miracle I landed an internship at JP considering I am not at a prestigious school by any means. So, with my MO/BO internship lined up for this coming summer at JP, what can I be doing to broaden my options in the future? How can I transition to a more lucrative career path following my internship? This may seem like a stupid question and I get why but any advice would be awesome.
